This Privacy Policy explains how Linguistic Lunacy handles information when you use the Linguistic Lunacy mobile app and related website or content services.

• We use remote content delivery so the full premium library is not bundled openly inside the app.
• Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat so we can unlock and restore premium access.

Information We Process

Content and App Requests

The app connects to our content API to load idiom content, search indexes, quiz data, and app configuration. These network requests may include ordinary technical information such as your IP address, request time, app request headers, and basic server log information. We use this information to deliver the app content, keep the service reliable, and protect the content API.

Purchase and Entitlement Information

Premium access is processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user ID, purchase history, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, refund or revocation status, app open events related to entitlement syncing, and device or store information needed to validate and restore purchases.

We do not receive your full payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play according to Google's own terms and policies.

Local Device Storage

The app stores limited local state on your device, such as onboarding completion, premium unlock status, and display preferences. This information is used only to operate the app experience on your device.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Load idiom content, search results, quiz data, and app configuration.
• Process, verify, unlock, revoke, and restore premium access.
• Maintain app functionality and troubleshoot service issues.
• Protect the app, content API, and paid content from misuse.

Service Providers

We use service providers to operate the app. These providers process information on our behalf or as independent platform providers:

• Google Play, for Android app distribution, in-app purchases, refunds, and store account purchase management.
• RevenueCat, for purchase validation, entitlement syncing, and restore support.
• Our website and hosting provider, for delivering remote idiom content and API responses.

We do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.

Cookies and Tracking

The mobile app does not use advertising cookies, web beacons, or marketing tracking pixels. If you visit our website, your browser and our hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information needed to load the site.

Internet Connection

An internet connection is required to load remote content, search indexes, quiz data, purchase status, and restore access. Some free fallback content may remain available if the content API is temporarily unavailable, but the full service is designed to work online.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including app operation, purchase support, legal compliance, security, and troubleshooting. RevenueCat and Google Play retain purchase and transaction records according to their own legal, tax, fraud prevention, and platform requirements.

Your Choices and Deletion Requests

Because Linguistic Lunacy does not require an account, we may not be able to identify your app data from your name or email address alone. If you contact us about purchase or deletion requests, we may ask for information such as your RevenueCat anonymous app user ID or Google Play order ID so we can locate the relevant record.

You can uninstall the app to remove local app state from your device. You can contact us to request access to or deletion of information we can reasonably identify and control. Some transaction records may need to be retained by Google Play, RevenueCat, or us where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, security, or platform compliance reasons.

Children

Linguistic Lunacy is intended as a general-audience language and entertainment app. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information.

International Processing

Information may be processed in South Africa and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between countries, but we take reasonable steps to use reputable service providers and protect information appropriately.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet service or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Future AI Features

AI-powered features are not part of the initial production version. If AI features are enabled in a future build, this policy will be updated to explain what information is sent, to which provider, and for what purpose before those features are turned on.
