1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Linguistic Lunacy, you agree to these Terms of Service. Linguistic Lunacy is a digital idiom book application intended for entertainment and educational purposes.

2. Intellectual Property

All app content, including the text of Linguistic Lunacy, idioms, anecdotes, origin notes, design elements, and related materials, belongs to Old Farts Publishing or its licensors. You may use the content for personal use inside the app, but you may not resell, republish, scrape, redistribute, or create a competing content library from it.

3. Feature Availability

Some features may be disabled, revised, or introduced later as the product evolves. The app requires an internet connection to load remote idiom content, search indexes, quiz data, purchase status, and restore access. Optional online or AI-powered features will be governed by the version of these terms and privacy disclosures in effect when they are released.

4. Premium Access

Premium access may require a one-time store purchase. We may deliver protected content from our servers after entitlement is verified so we can manage access to proprietary material. Unless we expressly state otherwise, a one-time purchase gives you access to the premium library while the app and related service remain commercially available and technically supported.

A purchase does not guarantee perpetual updates, permanent compatibility with future operating systems or store requirements, or maintenance forever. Purchases, refunds, and restore behavior are also subject to the rules of the store where the purchase was made.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to bypass premium access controls, overload or attack the content API, reverse engineer protected content delivery, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law or platform rules.

6. Accuracy and As-Is Use

We provide the app "as is" without specific warranties. We try to make idiom explanations useful and accurate, but language evolves and historical origins are often debated. The app should not be treated as professional, legal, academic, or historical advice.

7. Changes to the App

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue content, features, pricing models, or support as language, technology, platform rules, and commercial realities change. If future ongoing services or features are introduced, they may be offered separately, including through subscription pricing where appropriate.
